Lewes & Brighton Tai Chi
Tai Chi is not mysterious but it is definitely profound. The teaching I offer is based on my teachers teaching and unfolds in a way that allows the student to make consistent progress as they develop their understanding of the Tai Chi principles found in the Tai Chi classics.
I invite you to join us on our journey and if you have a love of gaining constant insights from whatever activities you engage, you’ll find that our Tai Chi classes are for you.
Whether it’s an improved sense of balance, health or achievement that are missing from your life, I strongly believe you will find what you are looking for in this ancient art.
Wee Kee-Jin (my teacher) teaching Grasp Sparrows Tail - “the essence” of the Tai Chi Form, Langley, UK, 2022.
My passion for Tai Chi and Chinese acupuncture began when I first discovered Wing Chun Kung Fu at the age of 16.
Lofty ideas of using others force against them were bandied around without any real concept of what that meant save for some rudimentary mechanics.
I studied Tai Chi Yang styles and Cheng Man Ching styles spanning across 10 years when I finally met my teacher Wee Kee-Jin in 2002 at a masterclass in Bristol. It was here that gave me a glimpse of the true nature of Tai Chi and I was instantly converted to this system.
Wee Kee-Jin was the last live-in student of Huang Cheng-Shyan and was told by his peers that it was a great time for him to be an inner disciple since it was only then that Huang was ready to reveal all he knew.
