Frequently Asked Questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture uses very fine needles. Sensations vary: you may feel a brief prick, dull ache, warmth or tingling, or very little. Tell me if anything feels uncomfortable so I can adjust treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on your symptoms, how long you have had them and how you respond. We will discuss a treatment plan at your first appointment and review progress together.
Can I have acupuncture while taking medication?
Please tell me about all medication and other treatment when booking and at your consultation. I will take this into account when assessing whether acupuncture is appropriate. Continue prescribed medication unless your doctor advises otherwise.
