Brighton Tai Chi
Brighton Tai Chi School of Central Equilibrium was founded by Russell Erskine and Esaias Hobbs in 2016.
Based at the Edge Community Centre in Pankhurst Avenue, Brighton, Brighton Tai Chi of Central Equilibrium teaches beginners and intermediates the principles of the 37 step Tai Chi form as taught by Master Wee Kee Jin. Russell has been a student of Wee Kee Jin since 2009.
The Brighton Tai Chi classes are regularly held on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm.
Students of Brighton Tai Chi study the philosophy and practical application of Tai Chi.
Brighton Tai Chi aims to offer a revolutionary antidote to the chaos of modern life. Someone asked me recently to compile a list of the benefits that Brighton Tai Chi seeks to pass on to committed fellow practitioners.
Here is some of that list, by no means exhaustive :-
Tai Chi promotes harmony, balance co-ordination, courage, calmness, fearlessness, awareness, mindfulness, agility, physical and mental wellbeing, focus, concentration, confidence, vitality…….stillness.
Tai Chi can help with back problems, emotional issues, stress, lack of confidence, bodily and mental alignment and balance, energy boosting, arthritis and muscular issues and much more…..
Tai Chi helps to shift :-
Blocked Tension to Free Flowing Energy
Stressful and Chaotic emotion into Focused and Calm Relaxation
Physical Weakness to Controlled Power
Deep Worry into Light Agility of Body and Mind
Tai Chi is a potent martial art, developing phenomenal internal power. Brighton Tai Chi explores all these elements with discipline, commitment and perseverance.
