This information is collected so that I can provide safe, appropriate and effective acupuncture, massage and Chinese medical treatment.

Why I collect this data

I collect and use personal data in order to:

  • provide safe and effective acupuncture and massage treatments
  • manage appointment bookings and clinic communications
  • maintain professional health records
  • meet professional, legal and insurance requirements
  • offer appropriate follow-up and support where needed

I only collect information that is relevant to your care, your appointments, or the safe running of the clinic.

How long I keep your data

Client records are kept for a minimum of 7 years after your last treatment.

If you were under 18 at the time of treatment, records are kept until at least 7 years after your 18th birthday.

This is required for professional, legal and insurance purposes.

Who I share data with

I do not share your personal data with third parties unless:

  • you give explicit consent, for example for a healthcare referral
  • disclosure is required by law
  • there is a safeguarding concern
  • a court or legal authority requires disclosure

Your personal data is not sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes.

Appointment reminders and communications

Appointment reminders are part of the booking system. These may be sent by email or text message and are used to help manage booked appointments.

Appointment reminders cannot usually be opted out of individually while you are using the booking system.

If I send newsletters, updates or marketing emails, you can unsubscribe from these at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data I hold about you
  • request correction of inaccurate information
  • request deletion of your data, where legally permitted
  • withdraw consent for marketing communications
  • ask how your data is being used

Please note that some health records may need to be retained for professional, legal or insurance reasons, even if you ask for them to be deleted.
